Ok so I'm sitting here in my livingroom looking out the window. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and I wish to God that my battery was working on my bike!!!! My heart is racing, my fingers are tapping,,,yeh I got spring fever big time.
I'm also thinking of all the potholes out there caused by our harsh Michigan winters. Some of these potholes are monsters and I know if I hit one, I'm done for. The roads seem to be getting worse around here making it almost a white knuckle experience bobbing and weaving through these obstacles. From what I understand if a biker or a motorist hits one of the monsterous potholes and wipes out or bottoms out, the DOT is not liable. So they are responsible for upkeep on the roads but not the accidents caused by roads in disrepair. So who is accountable? Who's fault is it that the condition of the roads may cause injury to motorists,,,,and possible death to the biker? Doesn't make much sense to me.
